He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Kruger and Anita Kruger (Zager); his siblings, Millie Winkles (Ray), Violet Kruger, Myra Schwies (Joe), Almeda Kruger, Lewis Kruger and Leonard Kruger; and his brother-in-law Melvin Kuhn.

He is survived by: his former spouse Vanetta Lockman; his stepdaughter Beth Fritzsinger (Dan) of Menasha; his children, Amy Renner (Ken) of Wisconsin Rapids, Lisa Roginski (Dale) of Wisconsin Rapids, Anne Sager of Nekoosa and Kevin Kruger (Tammy) of Wisconsin Rapids; his sisters, Rita Kluck (Leonard) and Linda Kuhn; and his sisters-in-law, Pat Kruger of Wisconsin Rapids and Catherine Kruger of Wisconsin Rapids. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
