He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard T. Gunderson and Almyra R. Gunderson (McClean); and his wife Marilyn P. Maahs. He is survived by: his daughters, Barbara Mazzoni, Cathy Sonntag (Terry), Joanne Novak, Lynn Buska (Ralph) and Amy Gunderson; his grandchildren, Aaron Mazzone, Jessica Mazzone-Cain (Dan), Jason Novak, Derek Sonntag (Rachel), Brett Sonntag, Jeremy Buska, Adam Buska and Honna Hinzman; his great grandchildren, Jackson Mazzone, Marielle, Nicholas Cain, Brooke Sonntag, Taylor and Trent Friedli; his great great grandchild Kalani; his brother Raphael Gunderson (Pat); and his sisters-in-law, Lois Kielman, Carol Gilbertson, Jean Zienert (Jack), Delores Nagel and Karen Dobbe. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Services for the kind and compassionate care they provided. Due to COVID-19 no services will be held at this time.
