She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Hilgers and Arlene Hilgers (Knoll); and her sisters, Gloria Drosta (Eugene) and Brenda Malfavon. She is survived by: her husband Robert Szymanski; her daughters, Jody Szymanski, Letty Schmick (Randy) and Mary Jo Brandl (Jesse); her foster son Kevin Stapleton; her grandchildren, Christina Fane, Isabelle Schmick, Samantha Schmick, Breana Brandl and Jordan Brandl; her sister Diane Schmidt; and her pet Lucky.
