Joan M. Smiley Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan M. Smiley of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, who passed away on March 16, 2025 at the age of 90. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joan M. Smiley to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Bodette and Ethel Bodette (Shymanski); her husbands, Robert Bean and Eugene Smiley; and her cousin Louise Ticknor.
She is survived by: her sons, Kevin J. Bean of Wisconsin Rapids and Rick Bean (Deborah) of Parker, CO; her stepson Peter Smiley of Washington, DC; her nephews, Timothy Smiley (Mary Jo) of Plover and William Smiley (Jennifer) of Rosholt; her niece Pam Smiley of Stevens Point; and her cousins, Jennifer Hamilton (Bill), Jacque Johnson (Theron) and Jeffrey Ticknor (Barbara).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ritchay Funeral Home (1950 12th St S, Wisconsin Rapids, WI 54494). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Forest Hill Mausoleum (631 Spring St, Wisconsin Rapids, WI 54494).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to FOCUS Community group or The Family Center of Wisconsin Rapids.
