He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Kopacz, and Eva Kopacz, Sr. (Geiras); his wife Frances Kopacz; his in-laws, John and Mary Grabowski; his grandson Jason F. Greeno; and his brothers, Fred Kopacz and Raymond Kopacz.
He is survived by: his son Michael Kopacz (Vicki) of Wis; his grandchildren, Tyler Kopacz, Kayla Schmidt (Cole), Abby Kopacz, David St. John, Joshua Greeno (Tricia), Dayna Schultz, Gifty Schultz, Kaycee Schultz, Emmanuel Schultz, Christopher Smits (Haley), Jessica Smits, Samantha Smits and Kyle Smits (Ellie Glodoski); his great grandchildren, Torin Greeno, Christopher Smits Jr., Jordan Smits, Kolton Buss, Gabby Smits, Trinity Lustro, Carter Baltus, Kyro Whitmore, Bryer Smits and Baby Smits (November); his close friend Mary Kiedrowski; his siblings, Victor Kopacz (Kathy) of Wisconsin Rapids, Mary Bebel of Mendota Heights and Mariann Scheuren (Ken) of New Berlin; and his siblings-in-law, John Grabowski (Laurette) of Auburn, WA, Theresa Rita of Elgin, Josephine Roglaski of Crystal Falls, Agnes Langeberg of Wisconsin Rapids, Jan Grabowski of Rhinelander, Virginia Kopacz of Sheldon, John Rogalski, Charles Langeberg, Rich Bebel, Robert Rita, Roy Webster, Victor Gray of Eau Claire, Tony Grabowski and Marie Webster. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
