With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Florian B. Chojnacki of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, born in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 18, 2024 at the age of 86. He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Chojnacki and Lillian Chojnacki (Firkus); his siblings, Francis, Henry, Jerome, Leonard, Louis, Stanley and Mary Ryckman; his daughter Tammy Hintz; his granddaughter Brianna Higgins; and his grandson-in-law Isakk Hernandez.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Jurgella; his children, Alan Chojnacki (Kathi), Debra Chojnacki (Conrad), Kevin Chojnacki (Roslyn), Rick Chojnacki (Vicky), Florian Chojnacki, Jr. (Sarah), Kurt Higgins (Ronda), Robin Bauman (Terry), Ricky Higgins (Tina) and Todd Higgins (Betty); his grandchildren, Jessica, Kaesey, Kaylee, Brett, Morgan, Paige, Brady, Emily, Heather, Brittany, Gary, Katie, Nicole, Curtis, Amber, Kristy, Shane, Kendra, Haley, Hannah and Corey; and his sisters, Marge Glodowski, Theresa Daniczyk (Ernest), Patricia Nord (Mike) and Rosalie Chojnacki. He is also survived by 24 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 23rd 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:15 AM at the St. Stephen Catholic Church (1401 Clark St, Stevens Point, WI 54481). A rosary was held on Wednesday, October 23rd 2024 from 9:45 AM to 10:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, October 23rd 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
