She was predeceased by: her parents, Heinrich Born and Augusta Born (Duchardt); her husband Gerald Klappa; her close friend Allan; her brother Alfred Born; her brothers-in-law, Jim Klappa, Harry Hamm and Dale Klappa; her niece Margitta Furnner (Born); and her nephew Eric Hamm.

She is survived by: her brother Walter Born (Elfriede) of Wisconsin Rapids; her niece Heidi Born-Smith (Eric) of Wisconsin Rapids; her sister-in-law Carol Hamm (Ronald) of Wisconsin Rapids; her nephew Kevin Hamm (Cindy) of Appleton; her siblings-in-law, Gale Klappa (Judy) and Arlene Hamm of Wisconsin Rapids; her nieces and nephews, Roberta Shull, Brian Hamm (Susie), Chris Hamm (Holly) of Wisconsin Rapids, Annette Born and Karin Petri (Walter) of Wallau, Germany; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Christoph Petri of Atlanta, Mattias Petri of Germany, Julia Neuman of Germany, Christopher Smith (Rosie Duron) of Wisconsin Rapids, Ashley Smith (Hans Groberg) of Brevard, Ryan Shull and Jason Shull; and also James Furnner of Appleton.
