The memory of Douglas A. Koopman (Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin), who passed away on April 4, 2025 at the age of 64, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. As we bid adieu to Douglas' earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Douglas has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his father Merlyn Koopman; his sister Kay Wunrow; and his brothers-in-law, Roderick Schmelter and Joe Lanzi Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Donna Koopman (Roehr); his daughter Rachel Ridley (Mike) of Midwest City, OK; his siblings, Larry Koopman (Cindy) and Vickie Lanzi (Jeff Oleson); his close friend Michelle Koopman of Guthrie, OK; and his brother-in-law Jeff Wunrow. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (1517 24th St S, Wisconsin Rapids, WI 54494). A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
