He is survived by: his father Dennis Mays Sr.; his extended family, Chris Kapfer, Tim Camlek, Chris Eddy, Chad Lowry, Tom Schultz and Jon Severson; his stepmother Joan Black; his sons, Joseph and Jacob Mays of Beaver Dam, WI; his sister Denise Bartz (Ed) of Mattawan, MI; his stepbrother Larry Hanson Black (Taia Kasch); his nephew Samuel Bartz; and his nieces, Katherine Bartz, Joanna Bartz, Allison Stienhoff (Andrew Eckelderg), Jessica Olson (Conrad) and Kyra Marshal.
