He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Goehring and Ida Goehring (Laidlaw); and his brother Bobby. He is survived by: his sons, Dean Goehring, Jr. (Teresa) and Jonathan Goehring; his grandchildren, Skyler Goehring, Trenton Goehring, Brayden Goehring, Hunter Goehring, Briana Goehring and Mason Goehring; his great grandchild Avery Hale; and his brothers, David Goehring (Carol) and William Goehring, Sr. (Sandra).
