It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Van Asten (Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin), born in Marshfield, Wisconsin, who passed away on August 30, 2018, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Valentine Joseph; his sister Janet Suzda; his parent-in-law John Zurkowski; his brothers-in-law, Robert Suzda and Leroy Trickle; and also Isabelle Zurkowski.
He is survived by: his wife Agnes; his children, Daniel Van Asten (Sandra), Thomas Van Asten (Sandra), Susan Wiater (Gary) and James Van Asten (Debbie); his grandchildren, Isaac Van Asten, Kayla Van Asten, Moriah Van Asten, Laura Van Asten, Valerie Van Asten, Nathan Polzin (Kylee), Amanda Anderson (Chase), Jacob Steltenpohl, Justin Steltenpohl, Emily Van Asten and Madysen Van Asten; his great grandchildren, Noah Asten and Eli Van Asten; and his sisters-in-law, Lorraine Van Asten, Betty Trickle and Dorothy Zurkowski. He is also survived by 4 step grandchildren; 10 step great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers a memorial in Dave's name will be established at a later date.
