She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis DePagter and Catherine DePagter (Wondergem); and her siblings, Don DePagter and Marsha Loomans. She is survived by: her husband Gerald Smits; her children, Sandra Jeltema (Paul) of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Lori Robinson (Leslie) of Nekoosa, WI, Mary Ylvisaker (Eric) of Blaine, MN, Dale Smits (Kim) of Bloomington, MN and Dan Smits (Gwen) of Andover, MN; her grandchildren, Amy Friesema (Jon), Eric Jeltema (Erin), Kara Marker, Sara Coder (Kevin), Brian Robinson (Sarah), Luke Ylvisaker (Amy), Tyler Ylvisaker (Stephanie), Tanner Ylvisaker (Emily), Don Erdall, Jack Smits, Joe Smits, Isabella Smits, Abigail Smits and Ava Smits; her sister Ruth Mentink of Ootsburg, WI; and her sister-in-law Betty DePagter of Sheboygan Falls, WI.. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
