She was predeceased by: her parents, George Hilgart and Hildegarde Hilgart. She is survived by: her husband Denis F. Virnig; her children, Scott Virnig (Michelle), Susan Lockman (Shawn) and Andrea Jensen (Andy); her grandchildren, Randi Lockman (Nick), Ashton Virnig, Jacob Jensen, Kasey Jensen and Lucas Jensen; her siblings, Gene Hilgart (Marlys), Mike and Mari Ballman; her sisters-in-law, Kathryn Reigel, Cheryl Virnig and Kathy Regele; her in-laws, Adrian and Rose Virnig; and her brothers-in-law, Roman Virnig and Loren Virnig.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Carole's name to the Marian Center for Peace, located at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids.
