She was predeceased by: her parents, William Danek and Caroline Danek (Kozumplik); her husband Frank Schmitt; her sister Dorothy; and her brother-in-law Ernie Nielson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sandra Dasenbrook and Terri Higgins; her grandchildren, David Higgins (Kristin), Vickie Jahnke (Robert), Jessica White (Jeffrey) and Keith Dasenbrook (Megan); her great grandchildren, Brian Scott, Brandon Scott and Brittany Scott; and her great great grandchild Bennette Scott. She is also survived by two nieces and one nephew.
