He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Scharf and Margaret Scharf (Nolan). He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Scharf, Michael Scharf (Kimberly), Alissa Scharf (Dana Randolph), Allison Scharf and Sunny Krause; and his brothers, Gregory Scharf (Mary Liz) and Christopher Scharf (Liz). He is also survived by five grandchildren.
