He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Coon and Audrey Coon (Lake); his brother Alan Coon; and his sister-in-law Pam Henry. He is survived by: his wife Cherie Schulz; his children, Jessica Coon (Shawn Tunks) and Paul Coon; his grandchildren, Bella Coon, Miles Rindle, Claire Rindle, Harper Tunks and Evilyn Tunks; his siblings, Larry Coon and Gail Evans (Don); his parents-in-law, Darrell and Rita Schulz; his siblings-in-law, Brian Schulz (Terry), Kevin Schulz, Cheryl Blumberg (Tom) and Greg Henry; his brothers, Bernie, Brad Bennett and Ma Bennett (Barb); and his friend Rick. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family.
