He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Balsmeider and Lois Balsmeider (Plumb); his sister Dorothy Reidelbach; his brothers-in-law, John, Curt, Clarence and Alan; and his pet Bootsie.

He is survived by: his wife Jean; his siblings-in-law, James Reidelbach, Jerry Henry (Lori), Shirley Henry and Judy Henry; and also Jack Ragan. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
