He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert Clayton and Gertrude Van Dyke (Micke); his children, Dean Van Dyke (Jacque), Rob Van Dyke (Jenny), Eric Van Dyke (Michelle), Kristin Wittman and Julie Prock; his grandchildren, Nick Jr. (Skye), Trevor, Gunnar, Alise, Ethan, Molly, Tierney, Tanor, Garrett, Hannah (Aaron), Rachel and Shayne; his siblings, Nancy (Gerry Coenen) and Bob Van Dyke (Gary Lange); his wife JoAnn; his son Nick Sr.; his brother Don Van Dyke; and his close friend Bella. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
