He was predeceased by: his parents, Clair Coats and Dorothy Coats (Kallas); his wife Mary Doro; and his parents-in-law, Stanley and Eleanor Doro.
He is survived by: his children, Sandy Benedict (Brad), Scott Coats (Valerie), Stacey Bloedorn (James), Stephanie Coats and Steven Coats (Karen); his grandchildren, Kristy McMillan (Aaron), Katie White (Timothy), Colton Breister (Alyssa), Matt Breister, Robert Coats (Maygan), Ronald Coats (Chris), Rebecca Bannenberg (Deane), Logan Breister, Cody Breister (Janetta), Cassandra Coats and Madalyn Coats; and his siblings, Barb Thiel, Mary Fleck, Janet Helmuth (Steve) and Jim Coats (Joan). He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and friends.
