He is survived by: his wife Rochelle Handt; his children, Michael (Patricia Heider), Scott (Nicole Heider), Kim (Steve Maertz), Todd (Wendy Heider) and Tamara (Joel Schmeltzer); his grandchildren, Brandon Heider (Kaylie), Mitchell Heider (Katie), Riley Heider, Ricky Gasman (Amanda), Rochelle Gentele (Matt), Nick Maertz (Sydney), Justin Heider (Casie), Brad Heider (Paige), Travis Schmeltzer (Kristen) and Owen Schmeltzer (Brooke); his great grandchildren, Piper Gasman and Camryn Heider; his brother George Heider (Jo); and his siblings-in-law, Betty Heider and John Gorecki. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
