George Ball wrote a sympathy message

“Bill and Family, my condolences on the passing of your, our dear Lois! Having known her since childhood, as we were almost next-door neighbors on 48th Street...she and her family in the 3100 block and my family and me in the 3200 block, we enrolled in Sherman School as Kindergarteners in Winter of 1941, went on to Steuben Junior High and graduated together in Winter 1954 from Washington High School. We'll all miss beautiful Lois! God speed, Lois! George Ball Lake St. Louis, Missouri”
