He was predeceased by: his parents, Marjorie Staples (Johnson) and Vance Staples. He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Peggy" Wachter; his son Jeff (Ruth); his grandchildren, Maggie, Olivia of Leesburg, GA, Mike of Oshkosh and Scott (Tom) of Wausau; his sisters, Ellynn Jagielo (Tom) of Wisconsin Rapids and Cyndy Omernik (Joe) of Stevens Point; and his siblings-in-law, Jeanie Martin (Mike) of Big Canoe, GA, Kathy Appel (Bill) of Green Bay and Jim Wachter (Kim) of Tucson, AZ. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private service will be held.
