He is survived by: his wife Gloria Mae Thies; his children, Michelle Halvensleben, Lori Sterr (Jason) and Brian Halvensleben (Heather); his grandchildren, Jordan Hoffman (Morgan), Ethan and Evelyn Halvensleben; his siblings, Reta Thies (Ivan), Gary Halvensleben and Ronald Halvensleben (Susan); and his sister-in-law Virginia Halvensleben. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends.
