He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Norma; and his children, Pamela Muehlbauer (David), Gregory (Darlene Huckstorf), Richard Huckstorf (Lisa) and Jill Hoeffler (John). He was also cherished by 12 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
