She was predeceased by: her parents, Antonio and Guadalupe; and her nieces, Jamie Saben and Anna Maria Gamez. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Marcos P. Simonsen, Brett M. Simonsen, Alexandra G. Simonsen and Maxwell D. Simonsen; and her siblings, Marcos A. Avila, Luis Avila (Diane), Juan Miguel Avila, Guadalupe Gamez (Rolando), Juan Antonio Avila, Esteban Avila (Dawn), Reymundo Avila, Isabel Bublitz (Fred) and Leticia Withrow (Greg). She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
