He is survived by: his children, Shelley Mayer (Ron Baribeau), Stephen Mantey (Megan) and Amy McCarthy (Michael); his brother William Buttke (RoseAnn); his grandchildren, Carrin Gunderson (Brock Rosendale), Sara Ehlers (Erik Ehlers) and Peter Mayer (Kendal Dorn); his great grandchild June Ehlers; his caregivers, Kim Schendel and Hannah Underly; his friends, Kaitlyn Schendel and Tanner Cimbalnik; the mother of his children Eileen Brandt (Mantey); his pet Max; and his close friends, Skip and Rita. He is also survived by numerous brothers- and sisters-in-law; nieces; nephews; friends.
