He was predeceased by: his parents, George W Post, Jr. and Emily Post (Pieper); his daughter Amanda J Post; his siblings-in-law, Harvey Thomas (Audrey) and Judy Gerhart Post (Wiley); his parents-in-law, Donald and Eileen Finder; and his brothers-in-law, Wayne Rostamo (Shirley) and Eugene Johnson (Judy).

He is survived by: his son George D Post "Jud" (Abbey) of Hammond.
