He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Nelson and Ruth Nelson (Petsch); his brother Harold W. Nelson; and his sister-in-law Lynn Malonee. He is survived by: his wife Judith Nelson; his children, Katherine Nauertz (Bill), Rodney J. Nelson, Heidi Nelson, Wendy Koble (Dan) and Judith Ann Nelson; his grandchildren, Willie (Jackie), Danny, Melissa Nauertz (Steve), Jon (Jordan), Noel (Ryan), Nina (Cory), Natalie Nelson (Lindsey), Nathan (Sara), Amber Goelz (Andy), Erin (Dan), Peter (Steph), Hannah (Nate), Emily, Rebecca Koble (Alex), Abigail, Tahlia and Tyson Holappa; and his sister Karon Mehrstedt. He is also survived by 19 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Peace Lutheran Church (335 W Prairie St, Wautoma, WI 54982). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
