He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Preuninger and Elsie Preuninger (Reu); his brother Roy; and his brothers-in-law, John Vorlob and Ron Poyer.

He is survived by: his sisters, Norma Vorlob-Ehrke and Mary Poyer; his siblings-in-law, Luanne Preuninger and Robert Ehrke; his stepdaughter Jennie Bader (Chad); and his stepgrandchildren, Tye and Adrianne. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Preceptor Hospice Health Care in Germantown.
