He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin Bartels and Merna Bartels (Drake); his former wife Blanche Callahan; his brother Robert Bartels; and his siblings-in-law, Dick Callahan (Naida), Jerry Callahan, Charles Callahan, Nelson Garrett, Richard Sieg, Marge Sullivan (Bill), Mabel Sullivan (Tunk), Annabelle Allison (Bob), Delores Gross, Dorothy Adams (Carl) and Beverly Wargula.
He is survived by: his wife Diane M. Bartels (Sieg); his children, Perry Bartels (Lynn), Katherine (Matt), Caroline of Kirkwood, MO and Cindy Pennau (Travis); his grandchildren, Trace, Ty and Gabriella of Pilot Point, TX; his stepchildren, Ray Klick (Annette), Dan Klick (Dina), Debbie Lamb (Scott) and Roxie Leary (Brad); his stepgrandchildren, Tara Lamb (Jared), Stephanie Rice (Travis), Nick Lamb (Brittany), Alex Klick (Dawn), Gavin Leary (Tommi), Faith Klick and Halle Leary; his sisters, Dorothy Poppe (Ken) of Mesa, AZ. and Diane E. Bartels; his siblings-in-law, Terry Callahan of Plainfield, WI., Ruby Garrett of Waukesha, WI., Don Wargula of Ripon, WI. and Jim Callahan (Madeline) of Hancock, WI; and also, Lincoln, Finnley, Harrison, Emilia, Easton, Carson, Emerson and Brecklyn. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
