He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Houghton and Margaret Jane Houghton; his sister Nancy Williams; his brother-in-law Richard Williams; and his grandson Zackary Zabel.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Houghton of Wild Rose, WI; his children, Douglas Houghton Jr. (Gale) of Berlin, WI, Heidi Houghton of Waupaca, WI, Heather LaFreniere (Scott) of Wild Rose and Paige Houghton of Waupaca, WI; his nephew David Williams (Keri) of Minneapolis, MN; and his stepmother Evelyn Houghton of Wautoma, WI. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
