He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle Oldenburg and Yvonne Henry; his stepfather Carl Henry; his parents-in-law, Harley Butke and Phyllis Butke; and his sister-in-law Connie Meyer.

He is survived by: his children, Adam (Micki Oldenburg), Andrew (Hannah Oldenburg) and Ariana (Aaron Walters); his wife Lori Oldenburg; his grandchildren, Mason, Taylor, Isaac and Drew; his siblings, Steve Oldenburg and Lezlie Oldenburg; and his cousin Edie Oldenburg.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Whitewater Fire Department on behalf of Scott Oldenburg.
