She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Kvale and Viola Kvale (Fahrenkopf); her husband William J. Smith; her son Richard William Smith; and her siblings, JoAnn Johnson (Donald), Donald Kvale (Esther) and Richard Kvale (Ruby).
She is survived by: her children, Karla Jacobson (Charles) of Whitewater, Joan Smith Schenning of Whitewater, Nancy Smith of Whitewater and Brian Smith of Whitewater; her daughter-in-law Gail Smith of Fort Atkinson; and her grandchildren, Mindy Jones (Dusty) of Whitewater, Nathan Jacobson (Carly) of Janesville, Jessica Belz (Nathan) of Amery, Evan Smith (Becca) of Lakeville, MN and Alex Hansen of Oshkosh. She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the First English Lutheran Church (145 S Prairie St, Whitewater, WI 53190). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
