He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gies and Florence Gies (Bock); his wife Maggie; and his son Michael. He is survived by: his children, Kathleen Werth (Greg) of West Suffield, CT, Eric Gies of Whitewater, WI and Laurie Forseth (Phil Hack) of Hebron, WI.; his grandchildren, Paul Werth of Pawtucket, RI, Taylor Werth and Angela Hack (Nate); and his great grandchildren, Harper Grace and Jace Allen of Fort Atkinson, WI.. He is also survived by numerous other relatives, and many dear friends.
