He was predeceased by: his parents, James Benes and Marion Benes (Johnson); and his brothers, Terry and Gary. He is survived by: his wife Lois Anderson; his children, Diane Shiveler (Paul), Kay Benes and Gary (Sherrie); and his sisters, Marilynne Albrecht (Jack) and Sherri Benes (Kevin Coursey). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 3 great-granddaughters and 1 step-great-granddaughter.
