She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Yindra and Anna Yindra (Basel); her husband Melvin Bergel; her close friend Debora Hanson; her siblings, Robert Yindra (Laverne), Leroy Yindra (Lucille) and Willett Armstrong (Roger); and her nephew Randall Yindra.
She is survived by: her pets, Goldie and Itsy; her children, Patricia Bergel (Timothy Kostechka) and Brian Bergel; her son-in-law Kevin Hanson; her brother Emil Yindra (Debra); her grandchildren, Amanda Bergel (Green Bay), Teresa Hanson, Kari Resch (Andrew), Holly Kostechka (Taus), Joshua Kostechka (Brittney) and Nathaniel Hanson; and her great grandchildren, Joy Hanson, Jacob Gerrits, Caleb and Clayton Resch.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that monetary gifts be made out to the Lakeshore Humane Society in Memory of Janet Bergel.
