He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Mathson and Agnes Mathson; his parents-in-law, Elmer and Florence Ryan; his brothers, David Mathson, Robert Mathson and Richard Mathson; and his great grandchild Barrett Aldridge.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Ryan; his children, Brad Mathson (Lisa) of Hixton, WI, Dawn Mathson of Arden Hills, MN, Cindy Herness (Todd) of Whitehall, WI and Luc De Noyette (Kristel) of Brugge; his grandchildren, Michael Mathson (Kayla), Juliette Al, Emily Oates (Daniel), Kelly Herness, Nathaniel Aldridge (Jada), Levi Aldridge (Elizabeth), Lucy Mathson, Lily Mathson, Daisy Mathson, Luke Mathson and Annabelle Mathson; his great grandchild Emerick Oates; and his pet Yagi. He is also survived by many other extended family members and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Our Saviour's Lutheran Church or the Alzheimer's Association or volunteering for the Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC) would be appreciated.
