He was predeceased by: his parents, Terrence Nelson and Aphel Nelson (Sundaker); his son Steven; and his brothers, Warren, Lavern and Charles.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Hinkle; his children, Gerald Nelson (Nancy Klove) of Whitehall, Ronda Meier (Jim) of Gilmanton and Kathy Gaffney (Tom) of Brockport; his grandchildren, Heidi Steffen (Luke), Andrew (Jessica Watson), Lance Meier (Shelby), Dawn Kroening (Josh), Becky Kohnert (Andrew), Robert, James and Elizabeth Gaffney; his great grandchildren, Gauge, Rhett, Marli, Nolan, Kaitlyn, Maggie, Waylon, Mason and Bridget; and his siblings, LeRoy Nelson of Colfax and Betty Austin of DeKalb, Ill.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
