He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold and LaVera. He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Gillan; his daughters, Diane Gillan, Laura Pandl (John) and Cheryl Karger (Dave); his grandchildren, Ryan, Jacob, Amanda Pandl, Matthew Karger (Emily) and Jennifer Karger; his great grandchild Jackson Karger; his stepsons, Todd (Maureen) and John Gilane (Lisa); his stepgrandchildren, Zachary, April (Gage Schneider), Joshua (Lilya), Rachel Gilane, Madisen (Ricardo Garcia), Ally (Matthew Neumeyer), Rob (Rochelle) and Anderson; his goddaughter Karen (Bernhard Bayer); and also, Loraine Gillan, Ira and Zeke. He is also survived by other relatives and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in William's name may be made to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation or the Wounded Warrior Project.
