He was predeceased by: his wife Shandel Vernik. He is survived by: his children, Alla Shakhet (late Naum) and Alexander Vernik (Tina Shlyamkovich); his grandchildren, Diana Shoykhetbrod (Igor), Laura Roiter, Arthur Vernik (Jessie Linderman) and Michael Vernik; and his great grandchildren, Eric, Jackie, Ethan, Jenna and Addy.
