He was predeceased by: his father Stephen; and his siblings, Edna Popelka, Raymond Popelka, Hazel Engstrom, Alice Seal, Helen Winters, Wallace "Wally" Popelka and Phyllis Popelka.
He is survived by: his wife Marcella Szitta; his children, Sandra Phillips (Richard) of Shawano, Sherri Krause (Scott) of White Lake, Susan Lundsten (Roger) of La Crosse and Scott Popelka (Karyn) of White Lake; his grandchildren, Scott R. Popelka (Lisa) of Hartland, Ryan Popelka of White Lake, Daniel Doemel (Cassie) of Antigo and Olivia Krause of White Lake; his great grandchildren, Declan James Popelka and Coralynn Doemel; his sister Joyce Hoffman of Merritt Island, FL; and his brother-in-law Frank Szitta (Linda) of Bryant. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the White Lake Historical Society, St. Matthew Lutheran Church, or to the family for establishment of a Kenny Popelka Memorial Scholarship for White Lake High School.
