He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence and Loretta (Ashauer); his parents-in-law, Robert "Windy" and Peggy DeCoster; his brothers, Mark and Earl; his godson Bobby; and his grandson Zepelin.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Schmidt (DeCoster); his sons, Andy (Jeni), Tony (Sara) and Dan (Brittany); his grandchildren, Jake, Ryan, Charlie, Sam and Leighton; and his siblings, Paul, Neil, Ruthie, Joan and Rose. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and beloved friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Alan's name.
