It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eva Louise Mewes (Wheeler, Wisconsin), who passed away on January 24, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Grabow and Lois Grabow (Nelson); her husband Eugene H. Mewes; her parents-in-law, Minnie and Vernon Brewer; her brothers-in-law, Gerald Brancich and Verlon Brewer; her granddaughter Emily Mewes; and her nephew Keith Mewes Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Kate Sorenson of Wheeler, WI, Gene Mewes (Jackie) of Wheeler, WI and Chris Mewes (Rene) of Farmington, MN; her siblings, Alice Brancich of Winona, MN and Andrew Grabow of Tulsa, OK; and her siblings-in-law, Ruben Mewes (Grace) of Amery, WI, Keith Mewes (Judy) of Colfax, WI, Laurie Brewer of Wheeler, WI and Cheryl Polonec (Larry) of Boyceville, WI. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, beloved cousins and friends.
