It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joyce Shirley Ponto of Weyauwega, Wisconsin, born in Caledonia, Wisconsin, who passed away on December 23, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernst Flunker and Amalia Flunker (Meydam); her siblings, Bernhard Flunker (Jean), Ernest Flunker, Kenneth Flunker, Marcella Westphal (Raymond), Sarah Pankow (Erwin) and Margaret Pomerening (Calvin); and her siblings-in-law, Alton Ponto, Elmer Ponto (Doris), Arcille Niemuth and Vernice.
She is survived by: her children, Daniel Ponto (Wendy) and Deanne Togstad (Rick); her grandchildren, Heather, Cole, Lorelei, Emily, Nathan and Tyler; her great grandchild Damion; her stepgrandsons, David (Michelle) and Adam Togstad; her great grandchildren, Mason and Ryker; and her siblings-in-law, Elsbeth, Elaine Flunker, Linda Ponto, Lester Ponto (Jean) and Gordon Niemuth. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
While she resided there she conquered Covid-19 and pneumonia.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Peter Lutheran Church or School.
