He is survived by: his parents, David Gerrits and Jeanne Rhodes (Frank); his wife Gina Brux; his children, Zayda and Ethan; his siblings, Amy Sprangers (Jed), Tim Gerrits (Heather) and Travis Rhodes (Gacia); his mother-in-law Kay Remme; and his siblings-in-law, Brian Brux and Shari Brux.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
