He is survived by: his parents, Scott Schmitz and Robyn Ripley; his girlfriend Jessica Hanson; his son Deagan Duane Schmitz; his siblings, Larry Schmitz (Adam Mormann), Joshua Leis, Heather Flock (Steve), Tiffany Thurston (Darrick) and Cody Leis (Morgan); his grandmothers, Donna Janzen (Norman), Bea Schmitz and Carol Leis; and also, Jarren Schroeder, Alexis Stellick and Kelvin Hanson (Tammy). He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a lot of good friends.
