He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clarence Cole and Minnie Cole (Teal); his spouse Shirley Hay; his children, Linda Haakenson (Mervin) of West Salem, Betty Barstad of Westby and Roger Cole (Krista) of Waunakee; his son-in-law Ned; and his siblings, Jim, Ray, Dennis and Charlotte. He was also cherished by 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; as well as 3 step-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials should be directed to the Sugar Grove Cemetery.
