The memory of Marie M. Strangstalien (Westby, Wisconsin), who passed away on March 12, 2025 at the age of 96, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Maurer and Hattie Maurer (Radtke); her adoptive mother Deb Hage; her siblings, Ella Maurer, Henry (Lois), Elmer, Robert (Delores), Edward (Helen) and Leo (Donna); and her siblings-in-law, Gordon Strangstalien, Beverly Jensen (Donald), Verlyn Strangstalien (LuEtta), Lucille Ostrem (LaVerne), Dorothy Seivertson (Glen), Roger Strangstalien, Arlene Townsend (John) and Floyd Storey.
She is survived by: her pets, Zoey and Cricket; her close friend Marie; and her siblings-in-law, Dennis Strangstalien (Suzanne), Donna Strangstalien, Larry Strangstalien (Rachel) and Gloria Storey. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Vang Lutheran Church (S1721 Vang Rd, Westby, WI 54667). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 from 11:45 AM to 12:00 PM at the Vang Lutheran Cemetery (S1721 Vang Rd, Westby, WI 54667).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Vang Lutheran Church.
