He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth McReynolds and Truman Hayes; his brothers, Andy and Daniel; his brother-in-law Salvatore Martirano; and his nephew Alex.

He is survived by: his wife Cindy; his siblings, Dorothy Martirano and Ed Hayes (Marie); and his son Joshua. He is also survived by three step children, two grandchildren, 11 step grandchildren and one great step granddaughter, numerous nieces and nephews and in-laws.
