He was predeceased by: his parents, Scott Purvis and Helen Purvis (Stout); his siblings, Richard and Karen Gabrielson; his brother-in-law Bob Forde; and also, Alvin and Merle Forde.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Forde; his sons, Dennis Purvis (Kristina) and John Purvis (Sarah); his grandchildren, Allison Bagge (Brian), Robert, Anna and Addie; his siblings, Don (Ingrid), Darlene Fanta (Todd), Shirley Ellefson (Dennis), Diane Dunnum (Ivan) and Brian (Cheryl); and his siblings-in-law, Diana Purivs, Carol Forde, Judy Forde, Barb Cummings (George) and Dennis Forde. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
